In an event in New Delhi, Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) has launched ECSTAR, Suzuki’s global brand of lubricants, coolant and car products. Initially, the company will offer ECSTAR to its customers at the newly launched Nexa Service workshops and the product range progressively offered at Maruti’s service network of over 3,000 workshops across India. For your information, ECSTAR is a high-performance engine oil and chemical brand that was launched by Suzuki Corporation in 1984, and it is designed for Suzuki motorcycles engines offering an improvement on the normal engine oil. Apart from this, the ECSAR brand available in Europe, America, Mexico, Australia and South East Asia.
According to the company, ECSTAR is designed exclusively for Suzuki motorcycles engines and ECSTAR provides a blend of high-quality synthetic base oil additives that offer an improvement on the normal engine oil in friction characteristics, engine detergency, and theme stability. The engine oil has an optimal formulation for lubrication and a cooling effect to ensure the vehicles deliver the highest level of performance.
The ECSTAR R9000 (10W40), which can be used for all Gixxer models as well as for Big bikes Hayabusa, GSX-R1000, and GSX-R1000R, will be available at the authorized Suzuki Two-wheeler dealerships with subsequent plans to expand the reach and portfolio.
According to Maruti Suzuki, ECSTAR has passed rigorous tests that contribute to a superior performance by up to 2.8 percent and the fuel economy increased by up to 3.5 percent. The tests include high speed and full power tests (to evaluate oil performance under high shear and high thermal load conditions); deposit test (to evaluate the influence of deposits formed on various engine parts) and friction test and brake specific fuel consumption or BSFC mapping (to measure friction loos behaviour and efficiency improvement).
