Lexus India has launched the company’s latest flagship SUV – Lexus LX 570 at a price tag of ₹ 2.32 crore (ex-showroom, Pan India). The bookings of the SUV have begun from today at all Lexus dealerships across the country and available in seven paint options, with five leather trim options, and two wood trim insert options. At such a price tag, the Lexus LX 570 will compete with Toyota Land Cruiser 200 in India.
The Japanese luxury car maker calls its latest offering, “the highest expression of go anywhere performance fused with peerless luxury and urban sophistication.” The Lexus LX 570 gets signature design elements such as sharp styling, distinctive spindle grille, eye-catching Lexus L-shaped illumination of the triple LED headlights, flared wheel arches, and bulbous proportions. The frame is designed to separate the suspension from the bodyshell, helping to prevent noise and vibration from entering the cabin. The Multi-terrain Select lets the SUV negotiate a range of conditions and demanding off-road conditions are seamlessly managed with the help of a 5-Speed Crawl Control unit, which intelligently adjusts the torque and brakes on each wheel independently, allowing the driver to focus fully on the steering.
Inside, the Lexus spirit of hospitality, or omotenashi, is expressed in the interior of the LX 570 – spacious cabin, silky white LED lighting and ambient illumination integrated into the doors. The cabin gets a two-tone color theme finished in soft-touch materials and semi-aniline handcrafted leather designed by a Lexus master craftsman. The Lexus LX 570 is an 8-seater and the entertainment is taken care of by two 11.6-inch displays for the rear seat passengers. You also get 19-speaker Mark Levinson home-theater surround sound audio system, auto climate control with 14 sensors to create the ideal cabin temperature, wireless charging, and heads-up display. You also get a massive touchscreen infotainment system, cool seats, rear entertainment screens for passengers and much more.
As the name suggests, the Lexus LX 570 is powered by a 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine that churns out 388PS of peak power and produces a maximum torque of 546Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and reaches from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.7 seconds.
