YatraGenie has partnered with Maruti Suzuki for “Driver Cum Owner Scheme”. With this partnership, a cab driver who wants to be a part of YatraGenie platform can purchase a car at a substantial discount when compared to market price of that car. As of now, this partnership is available only where YatraGenie currently operations, i.e., only 40 cities. If you do not know, YatraGenie is one of the leading bus ticketing and cab-booking platform.

YatraGenie will provide health Insurance, accidental death insurance, yearly driver-training program and driver family counselling for all the drivers who are a part of this scheme. YatraGenie is currently operational in 40 cities across South India. In the coming months, YatraGenie will expand its services to 22 district headquarters in Karnataka. By the end of 2015, YatraGenie plans to expand to 100 cities, thus making it the fastest growing company in the industry.

Speaking on the occasion Renil Komitla, CEO, YatraGenie Services Pvt Ltd said:

“Through this partnership with Maruti Suzuki, we want to encourage drivers to be entrepreneurs. We have got an excellent response from our drivers for this scheme. With the help of Maruti Suzuki we have already delivered more than 100 cars. In the coming months, we aim to partner with 1,00,000 drivers across India to ensure a quality travel experience to YatraGenie customers”

Adding further, Ashvind Ratnakaran, Manager, Sales & Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said:

“We are happy to partner with YatraGenie in their effort to encourage drivers to become entrepreneurs. We have already got an overwhelming response from the drivers. We want to encourage more and more drivers to participate in YatraGenie’s ‘Driver Cum Owner’ scheme”
