Porsche Macan R4 2.0-Litre Petrol Launched In India; Features, Pricing And More

The German carmaker Porsche has launched the company’s affordable SUV – Porsche Macan R4 in India at a price tag of Rs. 76.84 Lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). Porsche dealerships already started accepted bookings of the car at an booking amount of Rs. 10 Lakh and the deliveries of Porsche Macan R4 will begin soon. In the existing Macao line-up, Macan R4 is 4th variant while the other variants are the Macan S diesel, Macan Turbo and Macan Turbo with Performance Package. The Porsche Macan R4 will compete with Jaguar F-Pace, Mercedes-Benz GLE 400.

Porsche Macan R4 Launched

The Porsche Macan R4 is powered by 1,984 cc 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 252PS at 5,000 – 6,800 rpm and generates a torque of 1,600 – 4,500. Porsche claims the Macan R4 reach to 0-100km/h in just 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 229kmph. The power is sent to all wheels with the help of 7-speed PDK dual clutch transmission. When compared, the Macan R4 is faster than 2.0-litre Jaguar F-Pace (Jaguar F-Pace claims a maximum speed of 208kmph with 0-100kmph in 8.7 seconds). The Porsche Macan R4 comes with Porsche’s air suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management).

The Porsche Macan R4 carries the same design as we have seen in other Porsche Macan line-up. It measures 4,697mm in length, 1,923mm in width and 1,624mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,807 mm and weighs 1,770 kilograms. The standard list of features are pressure monitoring system, electrically folding exterior mirrors, three-zone automatic climate control, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, lane departure warning, cruise control, PCM infotainment system and automatic tail gate opening system.

The Porsche Macan R4 offer host customization options like Bi-Xenon headlights with LED DRLs, panoramic sunroof, matt aluminium finished row rails, 21-inch wheels and Porsche’s Connect Plus system with Android Auto and Car Play connectivity options.

With a specially tailored engine, sporty design accents and cutting edge technology, the Macan is the definition of a five-door sports car, remaining true to its concept as a car built for a life of adventure. This compact SUV packs just as much punch, and the same outstanding drive comfort, as you would expect from any Porsche.”
