Polaris Launches Indian Springfield For Rs 31.07 Lakh; Features And More

Polaris India owned Indian Motorcycle has launched the company’s much-awaited cruiser bike – Indian Springfield in India at a price tag of Rs. 31,07,779 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). It comes in classic Thunder Black colour and company already started accepting bookings. Additional accessories offered with the motorcycle are premium concert saddlebag audio kit, Ape hanger handlebar kit and performance kit. For your information, the Springfield is the name of the place where Indian Motorcycle was born. At such a price tag, it will compete with Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special.

Indian Springfield

The motorcycle is related to the Indian Chief family, the Indian Springfield has been developed with a unique new trunk-compatible chassis for higher loading capacity and a premium touring experience without compromising handling ability. The motorcycle comes with telescopic forks and an air adjustable rear-shock with 11.43cm of travel. The motorcycle weighs 388 kilograms and carry a log of up to additional 241 kilograms without any problem.

The Indian Springfield is powered by the Thunder Stroke 111 engine that develops a peak torque of 138.9Nm at 2600rpm to the belt drive from the 6-speed transmission. The braking duties are taken care of by dual 300mm four piston disc brakes caliper at the front and a single 300mm 2 piston caliper disc brake at the rear.

The Indian Springfield can be quickly converted into a cruiser with the quick-release windshield and saddlebags removed or transformed into a high-capacity touring model with Genuine Indian Motorcycle accessories. The styling of the motorcycle is very iconic & vintage as it carries the glorified lines, curved, immaculate paint job and touch more.

The Indian Springfield sports a bespoke quick-release windshield that creates a large air pocket for rider and passenger comfort. Other comfort features such as remote locking hard bags and adjustable passenger floorboards come standard along with real leather seating, high-resolution Anti-Lock Brakes, the pressure monitoring, electronic cruise control, and a powerful headlight and dual driving lights.

The Indian Springfield is a premium cruiser and comes with host of features like ABS, Cast Aluminum Frame with Integrated Air-Box, Cruise Control, Front and rear Highway Bars compatible with lower weather protection; Indian Script Tank Gauge, Keyless Start, Quick Release Windshield, Quick Release Hard Saddlebags, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Adjustable Passenger Floorboards.

Other electronic features that have been incorporated are Tank Mounted Electronic Speedometer with Odometer, Dual Tripmeters, Digital Tachometer, Ambient Air Temperature, Fuel Range, Average Fuel Economy, Battery Voltage, Gear Position Display, Real Time Clock, Vehicle Trouble Code Read-Out, Heated Grip Level (If heated grips installed), Low Engine Oil Pressure, 9 LED Telltale Indicators: High Beam, Chassis Fault, Turn Signals (separate), ABS, Neutral, TPMS, Check Engine, Sidestand, Tank Mounted Electronic Fuel Gauge with Low Fuel LED Indicator.
