Wunder, the German based ride-sharing platform is now launched in New Delhi, India. For your information, it was founded in 2013 and initially they started their carpooling service in Philippines last year. The app is available for download in Google Play Store & iTunes App Store and the app connects car owners & commuters.

Wunder Carpooling Ride Sharing App

Wunder Carpool helps you to find fellow carpoolers for your daily commute and makes it easy to share your empty seats. The good thing about Wunder Carpool is that it reminds everyone of upcoming carpools and notifies passengers of approaching drivers. As a passenger, you can schedule your ride and the app automatically calculates carpool matches for next several days and confirms the fixed pricing. In addition to this, as a driver, you have the option to accept or skip the carpool request.

As of now, the service accepts payment only in cash and there is no surge pricing like Uber or Ola. To stay in touch, you can also use Wunder Chat and above all, there is a public profile that includes a member’s trip history, ratings as well as comments from fellow carpoolers. The company ensures that you travel comfortably and securely with great people of your choice.

Sam Baker, COO of Wunder said in a statement,

Wunder learned in our research that while 92% of car owners would be comfortable sharing seats on the way to work only 32% knew someone who travelled in the same direction, at the same time as them. A perfect opportunity to use technology to connect people. Wunder is looking forward to working with residents of New Delhi to take cars off the road. Building a community-organized solution to traffic takes time. We ask for patience and persistence among Wunder pioneers while we build a critical mass of commuters in the city.
