Fiat launched the company’s latest car – Fiat Avventura in India at a starting price tag of Rs 5,99,064 Ex-Showroom Delhi price. If you do not know, it is the crossover version of the Punto Evo hatchback and it will compete with Volkswagen Cross Polo & Toyota Etios Cross. When it comes to built, the Avvnetura feels more closely compared to the Ford EcoSport.
The Avventura comes with large tailgate mounted spare wheel with a well designed wheel cover, a trapezoidal tail pipe which offers SUV-ish look, a 250mm ground clearance. The large 16-inch alloy wheels further adds the high set stance.
It dos not comes with climate control, rear AC vents and steering mounted controls in any variant expect the top spec diesel. The Avventura comes in two variants in petrol segment – Active and Dynamic and three variants in the diesel segment, the top of the line Emotion variant. The petrol variant don’t get ABS with EBD or airbags, while the top & diesel comes fully kitted. All variants get 16-inch alloy wheels.
On the specifications front, it comes with two engine options, 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder & 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, Multijet diesel engine and both engines offer the same levels power at 90PS. The petrol version offers 14.4 kmpl and the diesel version offers 20.5 kmpl under standard test conditions.
As purpose built as the Avventura is, it feels more closely compared to the Ford EcoSport than Etios and Polo Cross hatchbacks.
