Lamborghini India has launched the company’s latest car in Huracan series – Lamborghini Huracan Performante in India at a price tag of Rs. 3.97 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Originally, the car was unveiled a month back at the Geneva Motor Show and it is the third product that was launched in India after the Huracan RWD Spyder & the Aventador S. For your information, just before Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini Huracan Performante set a lap time of 6 minutes 52.01 seconds at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany and when compared, it is 5s quicker than the Porsche 918 spyder and 7s faster than Aventador SV.
The Lamborghini Huracan Performante is powered by 5.2-litre V10 engine that churns out 640PS of power at 600Nm and when compared with regular Huracan, there is an increase of 40PS and 40Nm. The engine is paired with seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and power is sent to the road via an electronically-controlled all-wheel-drive system. This helps Lamborghini Huracan Performante to clock 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 325 kmph.
In terms of design, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante gets the sport cosmetic enhancements, new bright colour option and several race-spec features. The major change in design can be seen at the rear with the new high-mounted spoiler, new rear grille and the dual exhaust set up which gives it a whole new look. The car also comes with Aerodynamics Lamborghini Attiva (ALA), a new active aerodynamic tech allowing the car to switch between maximum downforce and low drag setups by adjusting flaps at the front and rear.
When compared with regular Huracan, the new Lamborghini Huracan Performante is 40 kg lighter and It becomes possible because of Lamborghini’s proprietary forged composite carbon fibre. The car’s front bumper, rear spoiler, engine cover, bumper, and diffuser are made up of this material. The cabin also features more of the forged composite carbon fibre components like AC vents, paddles, door handles and centre console. There is also a new dashboard showing the status of the active aero system.
The Lamborghini Huracan Performante is inspired by Huracan Super Trofeo race car and according to the company, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is specifically designed for those customers who crave the ultimate performance.
