2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift With Premium Additions Launched In India For Rs. 8.49 Lakhs

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched facelift version of its crossover S-Cross in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The all-new 2017 S-Cross facelift will be available in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha and it will be retailed via Maruti’s premium dealership chain – Nexa. The price ranges from Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant Sigma while it goes up to Rs. 11.29 lakh for the top-spec Alpha variant. The bookings of the Maruti-S Cross facelift had already started at the 280+ Nexa dealerships in India and the booking amount is Rs. 11,000. It is expected that the deliveries of the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Scross facelift should be in coming weeks. The 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift comes with a reworked body styling & new features making it a better offering than before. Apart from this, the company has worked a lot on the S-Cross facelift and along with its suppliers, they invested Rs. 100 crore towards the development of the new car, out of which 95% localization. At such a price tag, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift will compete with Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, and the Honda BR-V.

The 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift comes with an all-new face dominated by a new chrome grille, muscular bonnet, and a pair of redesigned headlamps. it also gets Projector lights with LED DRLs, new beefier front bumper, and restyled fog lamps. Apart from this, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift will also feature a sportier set of 16-inch alloy wheels and redesigned ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights.

Inside, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift comes with premium additions like a redesigned dashboard, tilt/telescopic adjustable steering, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, cruise control and a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and inbuilt navigation. There is a tilt/telescopic adjustable steering.,

On the safety side, the 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard across variants. Additional features include keyless entry with push start and stop button, rear parking sensors and rear camera.

The 2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift is powered by 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine coupled with Smart Hybrid Vehicle System technology and it is already used in other Maruti cars like Ciaz, & Ertiga, which includes idle-stop start, torque assist, brake energy regeneration system and a gearshift indicator. The engine produces 90PS of peak power & churns out 200Nm of peak torque and the transmission duties handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, there is no word on the automatic option. Apart from this, the 1.6-litre diesel engine has been discontinued from the line-up, and there will be no petrol engine available too.
