Mercedes-Benz C-Class Edition C Launched In India; Pricing, Features, And More

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the “Edition C” of its premium sedan, the C-Class in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 42.54 lakh. The new C-Class Edition C is available with all three powertrain options – the C 200, C 200d, and the C 250d. The Mercedes-Benz C 200 Edition C cost Rs. 42.54 lakh, the Mercedes-Benz C 220d Edition C cost Rs. 43.54 lakh and the Mercedes-Benz C 250d Edition C cost Rs. 46.87 lakh. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Edition C comes with a number of cosmetic changes and at such a price tag, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class will compete with Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and the Jaguar XE.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Edition C comes with a host of cosmetic enhancements and new features when compared with Avant-garde version. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Edition C gets the Designo Hyacinth Red exterior colour option for the first time. 5-twin spoke alloys in high-gloss black on the exterior.

On the outside, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Edition C gets a new sportier bumper and it looks very much similar to the C43 and a new rear spoiler. The front bumper gets lip spoiler that has been painted in a shade of high gloss black, and a black rear spoiler. The C-Class Edition C comes with a set of five-twin 17-inch spoke alloy wheels that are painted in a shade of gloss black, and it compliments the front splitter & gloss black rear spoiler. The car also gets “Edition C” badging on the body, ORVM housings, belt line and side skirts. The ORVMs also get puddle lamps that display the three-pointed star logo on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Edition C models.

On the inside, the cabin gets black ash wood trim from the E-Class, stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs, Garmin Map Pilot SD card navigation system as standard.

The Mercedes-Benz C Class Edition C will be available on the engine option you opt for – the C200 petrol, the C220d diesel and the C250d diesel. Mechanically, all the three variants of Edition C retain the specifications from their standard counterparts. The C200 is powered by a 1991cc petrol engine that produces 184PS of peak power and churns out 300NM of torque. The C 200d powered by a 2143cc diesel engine that produces 170PS of peak power and churns out 400Nm of peak power. The C 250d is powered by 2143 diesel engine that produces 204Ps of peak power and churns out 500Nm of peak torque. All the versions are paired with 9G—TRONIC automatic transmission. The C 200 takes 7.3 seconds to reach 100kmph while the C 200d takes 7.4 seconds to reach 100kmph, and the C 250d takes 6.6 seconds to reach 100kmph.
