Mahindra Scorpio Adventure Limited Edition Launched In India At A Starting Price Of Rs. 13.07 Lakhs

Mahindra and Mahindra has launched the company’s latest limited edition car – Scorpio Adventure in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 13.07 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai) and 13.62 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The limited edition Scorpio Adventure is based on the popular top-end model “S10” of the New Generation Scorpio and company also announced that the production of the new Scorpio Adventure will be limited to only 1,000 vehicles. The new Scorpio Adventure Limited edition will be available as both, 2WD & a 4WD and will be offered with a manual transmission.

Speaking on the limited edition Scorpio Adventure, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, (Automotive Division) Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said:

“We are pleased to introduce the limited edition ‘Scorpio Adventure’. With its all-terrain capability, power-packed performance and iconic design, the Scorpio is a symbol of power, thrill and adventure for more than 5 lac Scorpio owners and for the millions of fans that aspire to own a Scorpio one day. The limited edition Scorpio Adventure is in keeping with the lineage and DNA of the brand and I am sure that it will further strengthen the appeal of Scorpio as the perfect companion on long road trips and off-roading adventures.”

Based on the S10 variant top model, the new Mahindra Scorpio Adventure will be powered by both – the 2.2-litre mHawk and the new 1.9-litre mHawk. These two variant of engine developed specifically for Delhi and NCR, as there is a ban on diesel vehicle with 2000cc or more engine capacity. Both the engines offer the same power output of 120bhp and a peak torque of 280Nm.

As mentioned above, the Mahindra Scorpio Adventure limited edition is based on the top-of-the line S10 variant and it carries all the features offered in range-topping model. The new Mahindra Scorpio Adventure comes with number of features & style decal that matches its adventure theme. It sports Gun Metal alloy wheels, ORVMs with side indicators, distinctive and stylish ’Smoked’ tail lamps, and the new Mist Silver and White dual-tone exteriors with adventure-themed graphics among other small additions. On the interior front, it comes with faux leather seats with blue fabric insert along with faux leather-wrapped steering wheel & gear lever and rear view camera along with Adventure badging on the dashboard.

For your information, Mahindra Scorpio was first launched in June 2002. Over the years Scorpio has evolved and emerged as a trendsetter as far as technology is concerned. When compared with others, it is the first one which includes the Innovative Voice Messaging System, Micro Hybrid (start/stop) technology, 6-speed Automatic Transmission (the only SUV in its class with automatic transmission) and being India’s first BS4-emission compliant vehicle.

Some of the key facts of the limited edition Scorpio Adventure are:

  • It is based on the new generation Scorpio ‘S10’.
  • It has features like reverse camera and ORVMs with side indicator, Smoked out tail lamps, triple jet windscreen washer.
  • The four-wheeler is powered by 88 kW (120 BHP) mHawk engine and comes with cushion suspension and anti-roll technologies, static bending projector headlamps with Eyebrow-styled LED parking lights, a 15 cm (6 inch) touch screen infotainment system with GPS navigation, fully automatic temperature control and 43 cm (17 inch) alloy wheels.
  • The Scorpio Adventure comes with manual transmission and is available in both 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive.
