Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt edition, and Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 RedArt Edition at a price tag of ₹ 1.02 crore & ₹ 87.48 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom India) respectively. For your information, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC is ₹ 2.8 lakh more expensive than the standard car whereas the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 RedArt is ₹ 5.2 lakh more expensive than the regular model. Both the limited edition add distinctive highlights to the AMG-tuned performance cars and are limited to 25 units and gets new paint with ‘Orange’ and ‘Red’ contrast.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt limited edition available in three exterior paint finish – Polar White, Obsidian Black, and Selenite Grey. All the three exterior paint finish come with the AMG Line Exterior which adds contrast ‘Orange’ colour to the exterior and interior. The SUV gets 21-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels with a high-gloss black finish and ‘Orange’ rim lines as a part of the package. The SUV also gets full LED headlamps and it is surrounded by a black LED ring, and Intelligent Light System.
Inside, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt limited edition adds black Nappa leather seats with ‘Orange’ pipping while the topstitching is in grey colour. Additionally, the AMG lettering and ‘Orange’ piping on floor mats while the door panels are also covered in black microfibre material.
The Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 RedArt limited edition gets red accents on the exteriors and interiors. It is available in two exclusive paint finish – Polar White and Designo Selenite Grey Magno. It gets red highlights too and red trims can be seen on the front & rear aprons, front & rear bumpers, fins, and side air vents. The car gets 18-inch AMG 10-spoke light alloy wheels and the brake calipers with AMG lettering painted in red with a high-gloss black finish.
Inside, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 RedArt limited Edition comes with black leather seats with Silver Nappa leather inserts and red contrast stitching. It also comes with carbon fiber effect embossed leather, red accents across the interior and contrast red finished seatbelts as well.
Both the AMG-tuned models are powered by a 3.0-litre V6, direct-injection, bi-turbo petrol engine. The engine in the Mercedes GLS43 AMG churns out 390PS of peak power at 6,100rpm and produces maximum torque of 520Nm between 2,000rpm – 4,300rpm while the Mercedes SLC 43 RedArt churns out 367PS of peak power @ 5,500rpm – 6,000rpm and produces a peak torque of 530Nm @ 2,000rpm – 4,200rpm. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt takes 5.7 seconds to reach 100kmph while the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 RedArt takes 4.7 seconds to reach 100kmph. The top speed on both AMG-tuned models is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
