Now it’s time to put on your helmet, the neck rest and the traffic light system is in place for you to either drive or stop.
The Karts
At Smaaash, all karts are electric and they are top of the line known as RTX range of karts. For your information, these karts offer superior acceleration and the electric motor is backed by Lithium Ion batteries. The RTX range of karts has balanced symmetrical chassis and can accommodate people of all shapes & sizes without any issues. Apart from this, the karts come with the adjustable seat, steering wheel, pedal position and are lightweight.
The electric karts look pretty cool and they are noiseless, vibration & pollution free. In addition to this, the design and technology used in the karts are so simple that those who don’t give any driving experience can also drive it smoothly. The accelerator and brake pedals are marked in green & red respectively and a button on the right of the kart works as reverse gear and it needs to be pressed only in case if you want to go in reverse direction. The top speed offered by kart is 55 km/h and this speed is sufficient to challenge your abilities to hit the track.
At Smaaash, the karts programmed to run for a maximum of eight minutes and the power is fed through special quick charge ports that recharge batteries quickly. Apart from this, the karts have 4 different modes that restrict the amount of power too. The Mode 1 is for novices and this mode is for those who don’t know how to drive while the Mode 2 is for those who have basic driving skills. The Mode 3 is slower than Mode 4. The Mode 4 is for pro users and you have to post a lap time of less than 43 seconds. In general, the Mode 4is not allowed and it is used only when Smaaash is conducting a tournament where professional kart racers take place.
The go karting is not for adults only, the smaller kiddie karts are also there that are specifically for children and are less powerful.
The Track
At Smaaash, the track is set outdoors and it has multi-level layout including a gradient incline & decline of more than 12 feet. The track measures 430 meters in length out of which 300 meters is on the ground level while the remains 130 meters is elevated. You get on the track from the pits by moving the steering from left to right and after some time, you are at the start line. The track features an advanced lap-timing system and LED lights and once you start, you move ahead to an elevated level which has an Omega-shaped curve and after that you descent yourself onto a ground level. You have to put brakes at the downhill straight and if you don’t put brakes you land yourself into the barriers.
For your information, the kart track is made according to UK karting regulations and the first sign that hits you at the track is that how well it is organized & of high quality. The racing track has been designed and executed by Germany-based Protex Karting.
The track surface is made from concrete sheets while the barriers at the turn are spring barriers. The spring barriers not only absorb the impact but also push the kart back onto the track.
Go Karting Time – It’s time to race
It’s time for action, get inside the kart, buckle up, and adjust the steering wheel height & the seat so that you are in the best position to drive the kart. Initially, you have to move with a crawling speed so that you can reach the start line and once the light is green it’s time to move the kart into the direction of your choice. As moving ahead, there is an uphill section and you’re amazed to see how well it is handled by RTX karts. After that, you can take a sweeping curve that is ahead while tapping the brake needed for smooth riding. After few laps, you start realizing your small mistakes and you work on correcting it and this results reducing your lap time significantly. With each passing lap, you keep on getting faster & faster but make sure you won’t put yourself into any problems. With more speed, the more responsibility of safety is there.
Experience
The unforgettable memories started with buying a ticket and getting a safety briefing from the attentive staff. After the briefing, we went on putting the helmet, hair net and neck brace. The karts were unplugged from their chargers and we were asked to get in. After that, we were asked to exit the charging station slowly and head towards the start line. Initially, it takes the time to get familiar with the kart and after that, it’s time to accelerate the kart to maximum speed. The race track is full of corners and makes sure that at corners you don’t accelerate karts too much.
At WheelsOnDrive, we encourage all motoring fans to make a visit to Smash Go Karting at Gurgaon and experience yourself what’s in the store for you. We assure you that you will come back as a better driver even though if you do not know driving.
