Land Rover India has announced the pricing of all new 2017 Discovery in India and it starts from Rs. 68.05 lakhs (ex-showroom) & are post GST prices. The all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery SUV will go on sale starting from November 2017 while the bookings for the SUV has already started across 25 dealerships and interested customers can also book the all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery online. Originally, the all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery was first showcased at the 2014 New York Auto Show and it is available with two engine & in five trim levels.

The all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery is based on the Discovery Vision Concept and it is being positioned between the Discovery Sport and Range Rover line-up. The all new 2017 Land Rover Discover is 140mm longer and shorter in height when compared with the previous model. In addition to this, all new 2017 Land Rover has an urban-centric exterior design, seats designed to fit 5/7 adults comfortably, entertainment and comfort features to keep everyone happy, driver assists, two engines to choose, and Land Rover’s off-road capability.

The design of the 2017 Land Rover Discovery features traditionally stepped roofline, providing ample space inside and the innovative electric folding & configurable seats for all three rows, available on the HSE and top variants. The SE trim variants get a powered front row, while the HSE and HSE Lux gets a powered front row with the option of electrically adjustable third-row seats available. The SUV comes with features like central touchscreen, InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with Android & iOS connectivity, 14-speaker Meridian digital surround system, four 12V charging points and much more. Apart from this, consumers will be able to customise each trim with add-ons.
Talking about the exterior, it looks sleeker and comes with features like electronic air suspension, rain sensing wipers, power folding ORVMs with heading and puddle lamps, electric front sunroof, LED headlights with DRLs and high-beam assist, heated headlight power washers, 19-21 inch alloy wheels, 5/7-seats, 16-way electrically adjustable front seats, heated/cooled seats in all rows, lane keeping assist, 360-degree camera display, parking assist, Auto-dimming frameless IRVM, mood lighting, 4-zone climate control, and powered tailgate Optional equipment includes active rear locking differential, roof rails, fixed full-length panoramic sunroof, adaptive LED headlights, heads-up display, etc.
In terms of safety, the all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery comes with features like multiple airbags, 6 seatbelts with pre-tensioner, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Corner Braking Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Roll Stability Control (RSC), Terrain Response System 2, hill descent control, and hill launch control.
The all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery comes in two engine and a single transmission option. The diesel powertrain consists of 3.0-litre, a twin-turbocharged unit that produces 258PS of maximum power at 3,750rpm and 600Nm of peak torque at 2,000rpm. The petrol powertrain consist of 3.0-litre, supercharge unit that produces 340PS of maximum power at 6,500rpm and produces 450Nm of peak torque between 3,500-5,000rpm. Both the powertrain is paired with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission developed by ZF. The all new 2017 Land Rover Discovery has a ground clearance of 283mm, and water-wading depth of 900mm.
At such a price tag of Rs., the 2017 Land Rover Discover will compete against Volvo XC90, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Toyota Land Cruiser and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
