Hyundai India has launched the much awaited 2018 Hyundai Creta in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 9.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India) for the petrol version and Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India) for the diesel version. The New 2018 Hyundai Creta is Rs. 15,000 more expensive than its predecessor for the base petrol version while the top-end SC (O) petrol version is Rs. 57,000 more expensive than its predecessor. On the other hand, the New 2018 Hyundai Creta diesel version price remains unchanged for the base variant while the top-end SX (O) variant is Rs. 44,000 more expensive than its predecessor.
The New 2018 Hyundai Creta available in six petrol variants (E, E+, SX, SX dual-tone, SX, AT, SX (O)), two with the 1.4-litre diesel (E+, S) and five with the 1.6-litre diesel (S AT, SX, SX dual tone, SX AT, SX(O)). The bookings of the New 2018 Hyundai Creta have already begun at various dealerships while the deliveries will start towards the end of this month. For your information, this is the first upgrade to the Hyundai Creta since its launch in 2015 and the company is offering New 2018 Creta with a warranty of 3 years unlimited km along with Roadside Assistance. The New 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift will compete with Tata Hexa, Jeep Compass, Mahindra SUV500 Facelift, Renault Captur, Renault Duster, and the Maruti S-Cross.

The 2018 Hyundai Creta is a cosmetic update to its three-year-old predecessor and comes with a host of changes like the dual-tone paint scheme, and new features. The 2018 Creta available in 7 single-tone exterior colours and 2 new dual-tone colour option – Blue/Orange and Orange Black. Apart from this, the 2018 Hyundai Creta will retain the same mechanicals.
So, what’s new in 2018 Hyundai Creta? On the outside, the 2018 Creta gets slightly updated front, featuring a new cascading grille with a chrome bezel along with reworked bumpers, and dual-tone finish with skid plates. The fog lamps have also revised and surrounded by new LED DRLS, headlamp clusters with bi-functional projector headlamps, positioning lamp, LED side indicators, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna.
Inside, the 2018 Creta gets a smart electric sunroof, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, a new Smart Key Band which has inbuilt fitness tracker, and a wireless phone charger. You also get speed sensing auto door lock, sliding front armrest, a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink, along with the iBlue Audio Control App. To spice up the cabin, the Creta Facelift comes with new Tangerine Orange colour pack.
In terms of safety, the 2018 Creta gets six airbags on the top trims while all variants get dual airbags with ABS & EBD as standard across the range, Hill Assist Control (HAC), “stating bending” lights, (ISOFIX) child seat mounts.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta powertrain options remain unchanged. The 1.6-litre petrol churns out 123PS of peak power & produces a torque 153Nm and it is mated to a 6-speed manual & automatic transmission. The smaller 1.4-litre diesel churns out 90PS of peak power & produces a torque of 220Nm whereas the bigger 1.6-litre diesel churns out 128PS of power & produces a torque 260Nm. Both the diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission while the 1.6 also gets a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Creta offers improved fuel efficiency by up to 3% in petrol and up to 4% in a diesel engine.
