Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the 2017 Mahindra KUV100 NXT in India at a price tag of Rs. 4.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base K2 petrol variant and Rs. 5.39 lakh for the base K2 diesel variant. The Mahindra KUV100 NXT comes in five variants – K2, K2+, K4+, K6+, K8 and has eight colour options. The bookings of the Mahindra KUV100 NXT already started on Mahindra dealerships and the deliveries will begin soon. The top end variant K8 cost Rs. 6.4 lakh for petrol and Rs. 7.33 lakh for diesel. For your information, the NXT is a cosmetic refresh model of the sub-4 metre KUV100 which was launched in January 2016. At such a price tag, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago, Volkswagen Ameo, and Ford Figo Aspire while the higher variants of the KUV100 NXT will compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
According to Pawan Goenka, MD of M&M, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT gets 40 new features and these features based on the customer feedback.

On the outside, the 2017 Mahindra KUV100 NXT remains largely unchanged but some considerable changes are noticeable. The Mahindra KUV100 NXT gets restyled front and rear bumpers with silver coloured skid plate-like inserts. it also gets a larger front grill with dual barrel headlamps, thick black plastic cladding along the bottom edge of the vehicle as well as the wheel arches, and lower body have been tweaked. The 2017 Mahindra KUV100 NXT also gets 15-inch dual tone diamond-cut alloy wheels along with integrated roof rails and darkened rear door handles next to the C-pillar for the sportier look while the rear spoiler adds SUV-like design.
On the inside, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT cabin looks similar to the older version except the new model gets all-black treatment with piano black and brushed silver colour inserts on dashboard & steering wheel for the premium touch while the lower trims will get grey interiors and the overall layout remains unchanged. The Mahindra KUV500 NXT will be offered in a 6-seat configuration as standard and 5-seat configuration as optional. The Mahindra KUV100 NXT comes with features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with various functions such as Bluetooth, GPS navigation, driver information system, and Blue Sense app without Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The KUV100 NXT also comes with features such as electronic AC control, driver seat height adjuster, power folding wing mirrors, remote lock/unlock for the tagline, multi-info display giving information about gear position, driver mode and fuel economy.
The Mahindra KUV100 NXT comes with safety features like dual front airbags, cornering brake control, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors.
Under the hood, there is no change in the Mahindra KUV100 NXT as it continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre mFlacon G80 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82bhp of maximum power and churns out 114Nm of peak torque while the 1.2-litre mFlacon D75 diesel engine produces 77bhp of maximum power and churns out 190NM of peak torque. Both the engine are offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox and gets two power modes named Eco & Power.
