The bookings for the third-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo are now open at dealerships across India, and the pre-booking amount is ₹ 5.0 lakh. The third generation Cayenne Turbo will be priced under ₹ 2 crores and the deliveries will begin in August 2018. The company has stated that the new Cayenne Turbo will reach dealerships in the country in June and it will be joining the standard Cayenne that is also set to be launched later this year. The third-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo will be coming to India as a CBU and it will compete with Range Rover SVR, BMW X5 M, Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, and the Maserati Levante.
The third-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo is the top-end variant and it is the first SUV that gets an adaptive roof spoiler as part of its active aerodynamics. Depending on its position, the spoiler can either improve downforce or increase efficiency. According to Porsche, it can even act as an airbrake. Other highlights include rear-axle steering taken from the 911, Porsche Surface Coated Brakes as standard to shed speed faster, and a new three-chamber air suspension with active shock absorber system & active roll stabilisation. These systems help to achieve better ride quality while enhancing safety. It even gets five-programmed driver and chassis modes to tackle the rough stuff, too.
The third-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo is powered by 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that churns out a maximum power of 557 PS and produces a peak torque of 770Nm. The car reaches to 0-100kmph in just 4.1 seconds (3.9 seconds with Sports Chrono package) and claims a top speed of 286 kmph. The third-generation Cayenne Turbo is faster than the previous Turbo S model and also capable off-road, boasting of its new lightweight construction & smart assistance systems. The new 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo gets a bunch of upgrades from an active aerodynamics package to new interior and better brakes.
On the outside, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo gets a unique front end with LED headlights, standard 21-inch Turbo alloy wheels, widened wheel arches with painted trims, and twin tailpipes specific to the Turbo.
The interior has been tweaked and it brings high-resolution Porsche Advanced Cockpit that serves as the instrument cluster paired with Bose Surround Sound System with 710 watts, large touchscreen infotainment system, 18-way sports seats, integrated headrests and a multifunction sports steering wheel.
