Hero MotoCorp has launched the company’s first 125cc scooter, the Hero Destini 125 in India at a starting price tag of ₹ 54,650 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Destini 125 available in Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black and Pearl Silver White colours while the deliveries of the scooter will start in three to four weeks. The Destini 125 is available in two variants – LX and VX. The Destini 125 LX variant cost ₹ 54,650 while the Destini VX variant costs ₹ 57,500. The Hero Destini 125 has been completely designed and developed in-house at Hero MotoCorp’s R&D centre in Jaipur.

The Hero Destini 125 will compete with Honda Activa 125, Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access 125, Suzuki Burgman Street, TVS Ntorq 125 and Aprilla SR 125.
Visually, the Hero Destini 125 resembles the 110cc Hero Duet, but it gets few cosmetci upgrades and the company has added some premium elements. Originally, the Destini 125 was first showcased as the Hero Duet 125 concept at the Auto Expo 2018 in February this year and later on it changes to Destini by retaining all the features. The overall design is simple, with flowy lines.
The Hero Desitini 125 comes with large chrome panel on the front apron, smaller chrome accents on the sides, semi-digital cluster, alert indicators for the side stand, service due reminder, as well as an external fuel filter cap to aid convenience. The Destini 125 also comes equipped with a lamp for the underseat storage as well as a remote key. The optional features on Hero Destini 125 are front disc brake, Integrated Braking System (IBS) and pass switch. The Hero Destini 125 VX comes with Boot light, mobile charging point, chrome garnishes, cast wheels, dual tone seat covers.
In terms of performance, the Hero Destini 125 is powered by a 125cc air- cooled single-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 8.7 PS at 6,750 rpm and produces a peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000 rpm.
