Apollo Tyres has launched their latest Tramplr series of block patterned tyres meant for premium motorcycles between the range of 150cc to 50cc, in the Indian market. The new offerings in the Tramplr range are the Tramplr XR and Tramplr ST, both high-performance tyres targeting various motorcycles segments but mainly, Sports Touring, Adventure Touring, Cruisers, and Street Sports, which constitutes around 20% of the overall motorcycle market in India.
Speaking at the launch event, Satish Sharma, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), Apollo Tyres Ltd, said “The changing consumption pattern of Indian consumers, along with the increase in enthusiastic segment of riders, who seek adventure, has led us to give them new shoes to do more with their current set of motorcycles. From being focused on steel radial technology products for great sports performance, we are now pushing the envelope to go for dual sports and adventure touring segment.”
The Apollo Tramplr XR, which is 70:30 Enduro Off-road tyre for Adventure Touring, and will mostly cater to the likes of Royal Enfield Classic, Yamaha FZ series, Suzuki Gixxer and Intruder, KTM Duke Series, Bajaj Dominar and BMW 310R. Prices for a set cost Rs. 6,500 and goes up Rs. 12,000 depending on size and variants. The Apollo Tramplr XR gets big-sized tread blocks and steel radial technology that improve its structural resistance, making it perfectly stable at high speeds. The tyre is inspired by exploration, and the sidewall has some of the greatest adventure locations imprinted on it for the explorers to embark on an epic journey.
The Apollo Tramplr ST, which is 80:20 Enduro Street tyre for Dual Sports capabilities and cater to the likes of Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache series, Yamaha Fazer, and MT15. Prices for a set cost Rs. 4,500 and go up to Rs. 6,000 depending on the size and variants. The Tramplr ST is designed to let the rider conquer every corner of the city. The Tramplr ST is inspired by the evergreen tradition and street culture of biking, the sidewall is imprinted with graffiti art that focuses on the rider’s camaraderie. The tyre boasts an exclusively designed tread pattern and unique features for better-wet grip for city riding, as well as, for off-roading in all weather conditions. Big central blocks and a wide footprint area give Tramplr ST superior grip and low rolling noise that keeps the bike stable at high speed and keep the fun going while riding.
Both the tyres are developed in India and tested in Europe and India, comes with advanced features for treads, contact patches, sidewalls, asymmetric grooves, tyre wear indicator among other performance features like improving mileage, handling and performance capabilities, the company said.
